The Senior Designer will be responsible for interpreting our clients needs and to design solutions with high visual impact. You will work on a variety of products, including websites, brand guidelines and printed material, working closely with clients, account managers and the operations team. You will also be responsible for assisting with Volcanic’s platform using superior UI skills and to be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a solid body of work
  • Take the design “brief” to record requirements and client's needs
  • Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
  • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
  • Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas
  • Amend final designs to clients comments and gain full approval
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Work Closely with the operations team
  • Understand the platform roadmap and assist in it’s UI design and delivery
  • Understand in detail Volcanic’s platform and it’s benefits.

Requirements

  • Adequate knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed understanding of the latest design methodologies and trends
  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

Key Measures

  • Understand your role in the company's strategic plans and KPI’s
  • Understand the knowledge base and ensure all design material maintained
  • Ensure all learning material in place for design activities etc
  • Ensure you and your team complete all training and maintain learning materials
  • Ensure you achieve a net promoters score of 7 or above
  • Complete all personal development plans in a timely manner
  • You’ll be expected to record all time against projects so that financial controls can be measured
