Another successful RAE comes to an end

What a fab couple of days at the RAE Olympia. Team Volcanic had a great time and it was a pleasure to catch up with old faces and meet new ones too!

Alison Dwyer, Global Marketing Director

RAE Olympia is a highlight on the Volcanic calendar as it provides us with not only the chance to showcase our technology, but we have to admit how much we also gain as a business through the networking, knowledge share, and let's face it, the great relationships that make this industry unique.

Did you meet our Customer Success team?

Members of our Customer Success team attended RAE this year and had some great conversations with clients and partners.

RAE provides our customer success team with exposure to the best-in-class recruitment tech, knowledge share and industry expertise. This helps to keep the team current and provides us with the chance to benchmark our own abilities and insights to ensure that we're able to offer our clients not only the best technical support but equally, improved digital transformation, candidate attraction and decision-making skills offered by the data Volcanic can provide.

RAE Olympia presented a fantastic opportunity to link in with our clients and discuss their plans for the next 12 months. I thoroughly enjoyed the Inspire Recruit presentations hosted by Alex Moyle and Louise Triance - passionate people talking about interesting topics! It was also great to speak with our partners to cement our existing relationships to ensure we continue to deliver the best technological solution for our clients.

This year's number one giveaway goes to...

And no, believe it or not, we are not referring to the cocktails (although we do always look forward to that Espresso Martini). After last year's award-winning freebie line-up kicked off some friendly RecMerch competition, we had to applaud Broadbean for upping their game this year with wireless phone chargers!

Ones to watch

If like us, you’re headed to The Recruitment Agency Expo in London early Feb then come and say hello on stand E9. This is a big date in the diary as the expo includes over 100 stands showcasing the latest technology, services, tools and let’s face it, personalities that the sector has to offer. There is a speaker programme that oftentimes delivers great content and provides a smorgasbord of learning opportunities, particularly if you’re new to the sector or a startup business.

So who’s hot to trot on the speaking programme; the ones to watch, and to learn from? Here’s our quick hit list:

James Osborne - The Recruitment Network

His topic, ‘Exponential Growth - How to Maximise Performance & Profitability’ will support agencies’ growth ambitions in 2019. An engaging speaker, James delivers complex ideas with clarity and simplicity, so audiences get real value for money. James is seriously knowledgeable about the industry and advises a range of businesses on how to deliver real improvements.

Alex Moyle - Recruiting Gym

Alex’s presentation skills are all about E3 performance - energetic, exuberant and exciting. Not only is he an incredible force of nature both in content and delivery, but equally, the format of ‘Insight Recruitment’ is fast and fantastic, and includes five guest speakers that literally inject knowledge into your brain during their quick-fire five minute presentations. No easy task for the presenters but a real learning experience for the audience.

Paul Chamberlain - Brabners

Paul Chamberlain - Brabners

Apart from Paul’s dulcet tones there is much to gain from Paul’s session, especially in this age of compliance and candidate shortage. At first glance the subject matter may seem dry, but trust us when we say we’ve enjoyed real important legal insights that have made a significant difference to our decision making. ‘Protection Your Business - Restrictive Covenants & Settlement Agreements’ will no doubt deliver required to not only protect your business commercially, but equally your employer brand.

Steve Beckitt - SourceBreaker

In this age of digital transformation if agencies cannot identify and engage with the technology to develop at a pace that allows them to realise their commercial objectives, they will be left behind. Quickly. Steve Beckitt’s presentation will help you understand how to design a bespoke tech stack for your business that will deliver a significant return on investment and help you better understand new technology so that this transformation can be sustained. ‘How to Maximise ROI from Technology’ is a must for any agency who is serious about using technology as a business enabler.
