We welcomed around 100 delegates at our Erupt London event earlier this week.

Held at the prestigious Eight Private Members Club and with a packed agenda, Erupt highlighted important issues for the recruitment industry as we continue towards Industry 4.0.

Launching the next generation Volcanic roadmap and our vision of the future, Neil Pickstone, Co-Founder and Alison Dwyer, Global Marketing Director, shared insights into the technology landscape and how the new Volcanic suite of products will help recruiters build better client relationships, grow a data-literate workforce and, ultimately, boost profits.

CEO Rob Wilde discussed future technology developments and how to succeed in Industry 4.0 in a fireside chat with Ken Brotherston, MD of TALiNT Partners, and guest speaker, Giles Guest of Enhance Media explored the huge opportunity for recruiters in a Google For Jobs search environment:

“With a massive 88 percent of candidates starting their job hunt with search engines, and 82 percent of employers using Google to search for recruitment consultancies, getting listed in Google for Jobs is critical.”

Panelist Scott Richardson, Global Marketing Director at Harrington Starr, concluded: “The best way to stand out from the crowd is to exploit the technology that we’ve got in our hands. With the software that Volcanic offers and with the collaborative nature that they take with their plug-ins and opportunities to develop alongside the client, it’s a really exciting time to be in the industry.”
