Celebrating the runaway success of the first Volcanic Erupt event in London, we opened our doors last night to recruitment agencies and partners in the North West for a lively evening of drinks and networking, as well as the opportunity to present our new technology and discuss our approach to the GDPR.
Kicking off the debate, a GDPR presentation by co-founder Neil Pickstone and global marketing director Alison Dwyer sparked lively discussion, as we outlined our candidate-first approach - which is in exact compliance with the six core GDPR principles of subject data access and management. Volcanic will offer its GDPR-compliant platform to all clients well in advance of the May 2018 deadline.
The future of recruitment
CEO Rob Wilde and global sales director Matt Gallivan looked to the future, speaking on how technology will drive the recruitment industry, including how people will apply for jobs, the role of AI and chatbots and how the terms of the GDPR will impact on the development of all future tech in terms of data security.
Nicole Moorjani, Executive Search Consultant at Finlay James said: “As ever, it was good to see the Volcanic team - thanks for a great evening. The topics discussed certainly gave us food for thought and it’s good to know that providers like Volcanic are well ahead of the curve in supporting the industry in their GDPR compliance.”
