We've seen a lot of changes in the SEO space in the last few years, most SEO companies have battled their way through it, changing their services as the rules demand. However we have also seen a lot of companies fail to listen or take action and some of our customers are still suffering from this lack of care.

So here's our best tips to check whether you are suffering or not: -

Tip No. 1 - Being Mobile Friendly - There's been a lot of talk in the press about Google mobile friendly test - it's easy all you have to do is pass the test and you can check here:-

Tip No. 2 - Being Locally Listed - It's a few years since Google local listing was launched but did you list, if not consider listing your offices on it, it also gives creditability

Tip No. 3 - Being Secure - Google told everyone last year that having an SSL certificate is one way to get better ranking, just ask your developer its relatively cheap. look for https:// in front of your website address

Tip No. 4 - Being Relevant - It always been important to demonstrate that your site does in fact represent the customers you want to attract. This is the first stage in content marketing. Need help just ask.

Tip No. 5 - Being Timely - Google measure how often your site changes, the more often the change the more time the Google bot will visit. An active site contributes to ranking but there are plenty of ways you can achieve this without hours and hours of work.

Tip No. 6 - Being Social - Google loves social, they like the links back and forth and they encourage people to share content, People love social they like the truth of it. Make sure you use it correctly try tools like they will boost your SEO.

Tip No. 7 - Being Fast - I love the phrase being Google fast: does your website load in miliseconds, or are you always waiting? Fast means better ranking. All our sites load in miliseconds - yours should too.

Tip No. 8 - Being Honest - This has been the biggest change to Google algorithm, no longer do you rank from links from dubious sources. A whole industry of linking has been closed however if you or any SEO company have use this technique in the past then Google needs you to clean up your act. We can advise on how to do this. 

Tip No. 9 - Being Thoughtful - Google expects its websites to talk about certain topics: if you are a job board then you should be talking about jobs & employment. We can help by suggesting content Google wants to find and adding this to your news or blog.

Tip No. 10 - Being Healthy - Your site is measured on it's health; the amount time the site is available, the number of (page not founds) or (broken links), it all counts towards the health of your site. As a customer, this is often easy to overlook. A regular check of your health using a broken link checker is vital for maintaining the health of your system.
